Four Oakland youths arrested in Palo Alto robbery, attempted carjacking

PALO ALTO — 4 Oakland boys, one 14 years outdated and the others 16, have been arrested Monday night in a theft and tried carjacking of a lady on the Stanford Purchasing Middle, police stated Tuesday.

The suspects have been captured after they needed to flee on foot  as a result of they might not begin the girl’s car, police stated.Police stated the girl, who's in her 50s, was sitting in her parked car — police haven't stated what make it's — about 6 p.m. Monday on the buying middle.

Police stated one of many suspects received into the car on the passenger facet and demanded the girl’s purse and keys.  One other suspect opened the motive force’s  facet door and demanded her purse, police stated.

The girl gave the suspects the objects and was capable of run away, seeing the 4 suspects get contained in the car as she was fleeing, police stated. She was not injured.

Police have been known as and because the lady and an individual police described as a Good Samaritan got here again to the scene they noticed the suspects couldn't begin the car and have been working away on El Camino Actual.

Police haven't but stated why they assume the suspects couldn't begin the car.

The girl gave police descriptions of the suspects.

They have been noticed moments later by a police sergeant on the downtown prepare station and have been arrested. Police stated they recovered the girl’s property from  one of many suspects.

They have been booked on the Santa Clara County Juvenile Corridor on suspicion of theft, tried carjacking and conspiracy,  all felonies.
