EAST SAN JOSE — A person killed Monday morning after driving his automotive off an Interstate 680 on-ramp and hitting a tree has been recognized by authorities.

Officers responded at about 10:30 a.m. Monday to a report of a collision on the ramp from McKee Street to northbound I-680, in keeping with California Freeway Patrol Officer Ross Lee.
