Car crash kills driver in Santa Cruz Mountains

A driver was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday afternoon on a Santa Cruz Mountains street, the California Freeway Patrol stated.

The crash was reported by callers to 911 round 3:40 p.m. who stated they heard a crash alongside Granite Creek Street close to Branciforte Drive however didn’t see any wreckage.

Inside a couple of minutes, callers stated they'd found the car — not seen from the roadway — overturned and about 40 ft down a slope towards the creek.

The only occupant of the car was unconscious and never respiration, in response to the CHP log.

Each lanes of the street had been closed for the emergency operation and restoration of the automotive.

The crash web site is a few mile north of DeLaveaga Park. In July, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the identical stretch of street.
