In one of many closest votes of the varsity yr, Harker lacrosse participant Kyra Hawk edged Berkeley softball participant Abigail Kaneko for Bay Space Information Group women highschool athlete of the week honors for performances from March 28 to April 3.
On the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday, Hawk had 10,853 votes (31.72%) to Kaneko’s 10,619 votes (31.04%).
Gunn softball participant Kylie Liu completed third with 8,247 votes (24.11%).
Congratulations to all of the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Hawk, a junior assault and midfield participant, scored 27 targets and had 5 assists in a 4-0 week for Harker. She had all eight targets in an 8-6 win over Sacred Coronary heart Cathedral.
On the finish of final week, she had 49 of her staff’s 79 targets on the season.
