Restricted service on BART’s Richmond line continued into its second straight day Tuesday, as restore crews continued to work on an electrical outage at a substation.
The issue, which originated Monday, stored BART’s pink line utterly shut down, BART spokesman Jim Allison mentioned Tuesday morning. The orange line was working with restricted service, he mentioned.
“Issues persist on the strains between MacArthur (station) and Richmond,” Allison wrote in an e-mail Tuesday morning.
The pink line runs from Richmond to Millbrae and San Francisco Worldwide Airport. There isn't any time estimate for when it will likely be open once more, and Allison didn't point out it will be prepared at any level Tuesday.
The orange line runs from Richmond to the Lake Berryessa/North San Jose stations.
Allison mentioned riders looking for to cross the Transbay Tube on the Richmond line can take an Orange line Berryessa-bound practice and switch to a yellow line San Francisco-bound practice. Westbound riders can also begin their BART journey on the MacArthur, Rockridge or West Oakland stations, Allison mentioned, including that every one of these stations have parking areas accessible.
The yellow line runs from Antioch to Millbrae and San Francisco Worldwide Airport. Riders coming from Millbrae or the airport had the choice to take an Antioch practice on the yellow line and switch at MacArthur station to an orange line Richmond practice, Allison mentioned.
