Storm tracker map: When will rain arrive in the Bay Area?

A storm that would convey near a half-inch of rain to a lot of the Bay Space — and maybe 2½ inches within the Santa Cruz Mountains — is anticipated to reach on Sunday night.

The wind forward of the storm was already in proof by 1 p.m.; it’s anticipated to extend till the rain begins falling, round 6 p.m. on the Peninsula, and an hour or two after that within the South Bay and Contra Costa County.

The updating radar map above exhibits areas of rain in inexperienced, with larger intensities indicated by yellow and orange. (Zoom out to see the bands over the Pacific.)

The forecast requires showers to proceed into Monday night.
