LAFAYETTE — A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday on a roadway, the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Workplace stated.
Deputies responded at 1:06 p.m. to a report of a capturing in unincorporated Lafayette close to Taylor Boulevard and Gloria Terrace, a sheriff’s spokesman stated in a press release Wednesday night.
When deputies arrived, they discovered bystanders giving life-saving measures to a male mendacity on the bottom close to a car. The male, who deputies discovered had been shot, was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
The sheriff’s workplace recognized the person Thursday as Lafayette resident Basel Jilani.
