Group of drivers stopped on Bay Bridge, then lit aerial fireworks

Drivers on the highest deck of the Bay Bridge have been handled to fireworks Tuesday night time.

It was not a present the California Freeway Patrol needed.

The occupants of about 10-15 automobiles lit unlawful aerial fireworks after stopping their automobiles on westbound Interstate 80 atop the bridge, in line with the CHP. The automobiles blocked all lanes of site visitors simply west of Treasure Island.

The occupants then obtained out of their automobiles and lit pyrotechnic fireworks that shot into the air. The CHP stated the fireworks exploded above the bridge.

Motorists on the bridge reported the incident about 7:43 p.m, and the CHP stated the fireworks went off for about two minutes.

When it was over, the folks lighting the pyrotechnics obtained again into their automobiles and drove off, the CHP stated. The backed-up site visitors on the bridge quickly unclogged.

No one was caught.
