Defending nationwide champion Utah has a slim lead over Colorado on the midway level of the 2022 NCAA snowboarding championships, that are being held at Park Metropolis Mountain Resort and Soldier Hole.
Utah sophomore Novie McCabe received the nationwide title within the girls’s 5K classical as Utah piled up 286.5 factors general, a 24.5 lead over the Buffaloes.
The championships proceed Friday with the slalom at Park Metropolis.
Seven Utes earned All-America standing on Thursday, led by McCabe. Fellow Olympian Sophia Laukli positioned second within the 5K classical and sophomore Sydney Palmer-Leger positioned sixth.
On the Alpine facet, Utes senior Katie Parker positioned third, whereas freshman Kaja Norbye was fifth.
Within the large slalom, junior Gustav Vollo was second and senior Joachim Lien was sixth.
Denver is in third with 249 factors.
