Crews from a number of departments labored to comprise a brush fireplace Saturday afternoon close to Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County, based on a social media submit from officers at Cal Fireplace’s San Mateo-Santa Cruz unit.
Cal Fireplace first posted at 1:59 p.m. about an estimated .25-acre fireplace that was 50-percent contained on Two Bar Highway close to Boulder Creek in an unincorporated a part of the county.
Crews responded from Cal Fireplace, Santa Cruz County Fireplace and Boulder Creek fireplace departments.
Cal Fireplace tweeted early Sunday that crews quickly contained the fireplace to what turned out to be .13 of an acre. No accidents had been reported from the fireplace, which is below investigation.
