All-Bay Area News Group boys basketball, 2022: Meet the team

Participant of the 12 months

Aidan Mahaney, Campolindo, 6-3, senior

Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division most dear participant led Moraga college to North Coast Part Open Division championship and CIF NorCal Open Division remaining. Playoff run capped a sensational highschool profession for the St. Mary’s School-bound star that included a D-II state championship as a freshman and D-I regional championship as a sophomore. First workforce

Courtney Anderson Jr., Dublin, 6-5, junior

First-team all-East Bay Athletic League decide led Dublin to an 8-1 file within the round-robin portion of the league schedule and a spot within the North Coast Part Open Division playoffs. The son of a former Raiders tight finish, he averaged 20.1 factors and 4.9 rebounds per sport.

Ryan Beasley, Dougherty Valley, 5-11, junior 

Participant of the 12 months within the East Bay Athletic League was a scoring machine for North Coast Part Division I runner-up, averaging 30.6 factors per sport, to go along with eight rebounds and 4 assists. In part playoffs, he scored 43 factors in each the semifinals and remaining. 

Aidan Braccia, Sacred Coronary heart Prep, 6-1, senior

West Bay Athletic League’s co-most priceless participant with teammates Emmer Nichols. Led the Gators in scoring at 18.9 factors per sport. Additionally averaged 5.5 rebounds and a pair of.3 assists per sport for a workforce that just about reached the Central Coast Part Open Division remaining.

Aidan Burke, Archbishop Mitty, 6-3, senior

West Catholic Athletic League participant of the 12 months helped Mitty win the league title and attain the Central Coast Part Open Division remaining. Scored 26 in a win over St. Ignatius and was Mitty’s prime scorer in two league wins over Riordan. Averaged 16.2 factors and 6 rebounds per sport.

John Squire, St. Ignatius, 6-6, junior

Was dominant whereas main St. Ignatius to the CIF NorCal Division I remaining. Scored 25 factors and grabbed 18 rebounds in a 69-67 semifinal win at Inderkum-Sacramento. In a 58-56 loss to Clovis North within the NorCal remaining, the all-WCAL first-team participant had 18 factors and 25 rebounds. 

King-Njhsanni Wilhite, Archbishop Riordan, 6-1, junior

West Catholic Athletic League first-team choice ignited Riordan to its first Central Coast Part Open Division championship and the semifinals of the CIF NorCal Open Division regional. Scored 29 within the CCS remaining towards Mitty and 35 in a NorCal win at De La Salle.

Second workforce

Jeremiah Dargan, Clayton Valley Constitution, 6-5, senior

First-team decide within the Diablo Athletic League’s Foothill Division. Led North Coast Part Division I champions in factors (15.3), rebounds (6.3), assists (3.0) and steals (3.0). Scored 19 factors within the NCS semifinals towards Bishop O’Dowd.

Tyler Dutto, Miramonte, 6-4, senior

The purpose guard was a first-team decide within the Diablo Athletic League’s Foothill Division. Averaged 10.6 factors and a team-leading 6.2 assists and three.3 steals. Additionally averaged 5.3 rebounds for a workforce that reached the NCS Open Division semifinals and was seeded fourth within the NorCal D-I bracket.

MORE BASKETBALL HONORS

Kevin Gad, Granada, 6-7, senior

East Bay Athletic League first-team choice helped lead Granada to the league event remaining and a spot within the North Coast Part Open Division playoffs. Averaged 20.8 factors, 6.6 rebounds and three.4 assists per sport.

Garret Keyhani, Serra, 6-7, senior

Helped lead the Padres to a 20-season season, incomes first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League recognition. Averaged 16.9 factors and eight.5 rebounds. In a win over College, he completed with 33 factors and 13 rebounds.

Thayne Merrill, Northgate, 6-5, senior

Averaged a team-leading 14.9 factors per sport as Northgate blossomed into one of many North Coast Part’s prime groups, successful an opening-round sport within the part’s Open Division playoffs. Obtained first-team honors within the Diablo Athletic League’s Foothill Division.

Derek Sangster, Archbishop Mitty, 6-7, junior

First-team All-West Catholic Athletic League choice. Averaged 15.7 factors, 9.1 rebounds and a pair of.0 assists per sport as Mitty received the league title and completed because the Central Coast Part Open Division runner-up.

Third workforce

Cade Bennett, Campolindo, 6-1, senior

First-team choice within the Diablo Athletic League’s Foothill Division. Averaged 10.9 factors, 5.4 rebounds and three.4 assists per sport. Scored 17 factors towards Riordan in NorCal Open semifinals.

Alec Blair, De La Salle, 6-5, freshman

First-team honors within the East Bay Athletic League. On a DLS workforce with balanced scoring, Blair led the best way with 10.3 factors per sport, along with seven rebounds and three assists. Scored a game-high 21 factors in a 51-50 loss to Campolindo in NCS Open Division remaining.

Cameron Brown, Bishop O’Dowd, 6-3, senior

West Alameda County Convention Foothill Division co-player of the 12 months. Led the Dragons to a league title and the semifinals of the North Coast Part Division I playoffs. Averaged 18.1 factors, 4.5 rebounds and a pair of.4 assists per sport.

Trey Knight, Moreau Catholic, 6-0, senior

Helped lead the Mariners to an undefeated file within the Mission Valley Athletic League. First-team all-league choice. Averaged 13.0 factors, 5.3 assists, 2.9 steals and a pair of.9 rebounds per sport.

Ahmaree Muhammad, Oakland Tech, 5-10, junior

Led the Bulldogs to the Oakland Athletic League title and the quarterfinals of the NorCal Division I regional. Averaged almost 17 factors and 5 steals per sport for a workforce that completed 23-5.

Jojo Murphy, Piedmont, 6-2, senior

Capped his highschool profession by receiving co-player of the 12 months honors within the West Alameda County Convention Foothill Division. Averaged 21.8 factors, 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and three.1 steals per sport for a workforce that reached the semifinals of the NCS Division III playoffs.
