PLEASANT HILL — A two-alarm fireplace broken a senior residence constructing and injured one individual Thursday, authorities mentioned.
At 1:15 p.m., Contra Costa County Hearth Safety District firefighters responded to reviews of the blaze on West Hookston Street close to Picasso Courtroom, and arrived to seek out flames coming from the constructing’s first flooring.
Upon arrival with a number of engines, engines and battalion chiefs, firefighters referred to as a second alarm and commenced working to manage the flames. Three residents have been rescued from house balconies.
One resident who suffered burns was taken to a hospital for therapy. Their situation was not accessible Thursday.
