LAFAYETTE — A person was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of threatening a BART practice passenger with a knife for apparently speaking an excessive amount of, officers stated.
Nobody was injured.
The incident occurred shortly earlier than 6 p.m. Thursday on an Antioch certain practice because it neared the Lafayette Station.
A 30-year outdated Antioch resident instructed police the suspect, a person whom he didn't know, used a profanity in telling him to close up or he would stab him whereas brandishing a knife, BART spokesman James Allison stated.
The sufferer was in a position to name BART police who notified Lafayette police who have been nearer to the station on the time. Lafayette police arrested the suspect, a 28-year-old San Francisco resident, on the station and turned him over to BART police.
A folding knife was recovered from the suspect as was suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, officers stated.
The suspect was booked on the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of brandishing a weapon, making legal threats, carrying a hid weapon, possession of a managed substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, authorities stated.
Authorities stated the suspect didn't have proof of fare fee and was issued a prohibition order that stops him from driving BART.
