OAKLAND — A person who the CHP believes could have left his automobile and been strolling within the lanes of Interstate 580 died Monday after being hit by two different autos, authorities stated.
The crash occurred about 9:50 p.m. simply east of the Park Boulevard exit within the westbound route of Interstate 580, the CHP stated. It concerned three autos.
CHP spokesman David Arias stated investigators have purpose to consider the person received out of his automobile, though they have no idea why. He was struck by one automobile whereas in lanes of freeway visitors, then hit by one other automobile when he was on the bottom, Arias stated.
Authorities pronounced him useless on the scene. His id was not instantly launched.
The drivers of the opposite two vehicles have been OK and spoke with the CHP. Alcohol and drug use weren't suspected of being components within the incident, Arias stated.
The crash closed all westbound lanes of I-580 till about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
