MOUNTAIN VIEW — Authorities have recognized the pedestrian hit and killed by Caltrain on Monday on the Rengstorff Avenue crossing, marking the commuter line’s first fatality of the 12 months.
A lady, recognized by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Workplace as 85-year-old Yuqun Yang of Mountain View, was hit at 10:56 a.m. by southbound prepare #112, based on Caltrain spokesperson Dan Lieberman. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and trains had been held in the course of the investigation.
The coroner’s workplace dominated the loss of life as unintentional via “a number of blunt-force accidents.”
