An earthquake Wednesday morning close to Lake Chabot was the third round magnitude 3 in that space in 10 days.
The two.9 quake, at 6:21 a.m., was centered close to Chabot Park and inside Oakland metropolis limits, the U.S. Geological Survey mentioned.
The 2 earlier quakes had been each inside San Leandro:
- 3.1 on Feb. 6, close to Interstate 580 and Lake Chabot Street
- 3.2 on Feb. 11, close to MacArthur Boulevard and Victoria Avenue
The Hayward Fault runs by that space.
