A driver was killed in a visitors collision Sunday morning off Freeway 9 west of Saratoga, in keeping with authorities.
The crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m. simply south of Redwood Gulch Highway, and California Freeway Patrol officers arrived round 11:40 a.m., in keeping with the CHP’s Ross Lee.
Twenty-two-year-old Tharun Shiju of Sunnyvale was driving a 2009 BMW coupe northbound on Freeway 9 and for an unknown cause, misplaced management of the automotive as he was getting into a left-to-right curve.
Shiju went off the roadway, hitting bushes and heavy brush earlier than coming to a cease 200 to 300 ft down the embankment, in keeping with authorities.
Shiju died on the scene and was carrying a seatbelt. Police don’t imagine alcohol was an element within the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, Lee mentioned.
