A flight from North Carolina to Los Angeles was diverted to New Mexico in a single day after a passenger made a “threatening assertion” to a crew member, a spokesperson for American Airways stated.
“American Airways flight 482 from Charlotte (CLT) to Los Angeles (LAX) diverted to Albuquerque (ABQ) following a passenger disruption wherein a threatening assertion was made towards a crew member,” airline spokesperson Curtis Blessing stated in an announcement emailed to CNN.
“The plane was met by native regulation enforcement after touchdown safely at ABQ at 10:25 p.m. native time. The passengers concerned had been deplaned, and the flight later re-departed for LAX,” the assertion stated.
“We thank our crew for his or her professionalism and apologize to our prospects for any inconvenience this induced to their journey plans.”
