OAKLAND — A telephoned bomb menace prompted the closure of an East Oakland faculty Monday morning, authorities stated.
A radical search of the varsity that lasted some two hours decided there have been no explosive units, authorities stated.
The menace was phoned into the Greenleaf faculty campus, 6328 East seventeenth St. about 9:20 a.m. Monday.
The college has greater than 600 college students in kindergarten to eighth grade.


The menace was critical sufficient that Oakland police evacuated the varsity, escorting college students to a playground space the place they could possibly be picked up by dad and mom. Courses didn't resume Monday, a faculty district spokesman stated.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Workplace responded to the varsity with bomb sniffing canine to look the constructing. They have been joined by faculty employees and police however no units have been positioned and the search was terminated about midday, authorities stated.
