OAKLAND — Authorities recovered a person’s physique from an East Bay regional park shoreline Monday afternoon, authorities mentioned.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Workplace coroner’s bureau recognized the person Thursday as Keyon Williams, 33.
In an announcement, East Bay Regional Park District police mentioned a volunteer reported a doable physique sighting about 1:40 p.m. in marshlands south of the Martin Luther King Regional Shoreline Park’s Tidewater Boating Middle.
With assist from Oakland Hearth Division firefighters, Alameda County Sheriff’s Workplace coroner’s deputies and regional park district firefighters, Williams’ physique was recovered and transferred to coroner’s officers’ custody.
Regional park district police mentioned they had been starting an investigation into the physique, and mentioned there was no public menace.
