Bishop O’Dowd basketball standout Amaya Bonner has been named Bay Space Information Group highschool women athlete of the week for Jan. 17-23 after she acquired 9,550 votes (30.24%) by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Fremont-Sunnyvale wrestler Hana Duus (23.91%) completed second and Carondelet basketball standout Talana Lepolo (19.36%) took third.

Bonner, ESPN’s prime Bay Space recruit, scored 29 factors in a 75-63 victory over Lick-Wilmerding on the Sabrina Ionescu Showcase at Carondelet.
She additionally had 16 factors, 9 rebounds and 4 blocked photographs in a 43-38 victory over Alameda.
The 6-1 guard and 4-star recruit has signed with Cal.
