Moreau Catholic basketball standout Trey Knight is the Bay Space Information Group’s highschool boys athlete of the week for Jan. 17-23 after he acquired 13,217 votes (39.08%) by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
James Logan soccer participant Angel Vasquez had 12,286 votes (36.33%) to complete second, with Dougherty Valley basketball participant Connor Sevilla (13.63%) inserting third.

Knight, a senior, averaged 13 factors, eight assists and 4.3 steals in three victories through the week as Moreau ran its document to 14-4 total and 6-0 within the Mission Valley Athletic League.
In a win over Vanden at De La Salle’s MLK Basic, Knight had 17 factors, six assists and 4 steals. In a rout of Kennedy-Fremont, he had 9 factors, eight assists and 4 steals. He additionally had 13 factors, 10 assists and 5 steals in a victory over American.
