DAVENPORT — A 40-year-old girl who died Monday after reportedly both falling or leaping from a Freeway 1 cliff has been recognized by the Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Workplace.
Wendy Edwards, of Santa Cruz, reportedly was driving northbound on Freeway 1 on Monday morning when she rear-ended one other driver, retired Santa Cruz big-wave surfer Darryl “Flea” Virostko, close to Higher Swanton Highway.
In keeping with the California Freeway Patrol, the 2 drivers pulled off the highway after the crash earlier than Edwards allegedly walked towards the cliff overlooking the ocean and both fell or jumped off the aspect of the several-hundred-foot cliff.
