Chris Doughty, a Massachusetts businessman and Brigham Younger College graduate, plans to run for Massachusetts governor.

The information: Doughty, who's a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, introduced his determination to run for governor in a video launched Wednesday.

Why it issues: That is an immediate callback to Mitt Romney, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who served as Massachusetts governor from 2003 to 2007.
