The Ice Castles in Halfway, a well-liked expertise for Utahns for the previous decade, opened Friday to the delight of followers.

Ice artisans labored across the clock to get the attraction at Soldier Hole Nordic Heart prepared for Friday’s grand opening. The interactive expertise options ice-carved tunnels, fountains, slides, frozen thrones and cascading towers of ice embedded with color-changing LED lights.

Artisans spend about eight weeks rising, harvesting and hand-placing icicles to create the life-size fairytale playground, in line with the workers. Gentle temperatures can wreak havoc, however the attraction is prepared for guests.
