Utah football has another veteran declaring for the 2022 NFL draft.

Junior offensive lineman Nick Ford became the latest, announcing his intention on Wednesday.

“I cannot wait to take this opportunity and make the most out of every second!!!” Ford wrote in a message shared on social media, while thanking those he’s gotten to know in the Utah football community.

The 6-foot-5, 317-pound Ford has played multiple positions along the offensive line for the Utes since joining the program in 2017.

The three-time All-Pac-12 lineman (he earned first-team honors in 2020 and 2021) has started 39 of his 43 games as a Ute. That includes starting all 13 this season — 10 at center and three art left guard.

Next up for Ford and the Utes is a Rose Bowl matchup with Ohio State on Jan. 1.

Ford becomes the sixth Utah player to declare for the draft, joining wide receiver Britain Covey, running back TJ Pledger, tight end Cole Fotheringham, linebacker Nephi Sewell and defensive lineman Mika Tafua.
