GDP growth at 8.4%: Will Omicron disrupt recovery? | India Development Debate
India's gross domestic product (GDP) grew at 8.4% in the July to September quarter of the ongoing financial year. The number shows a significant improvement as compared to the second quarter of FY20 when GDP declined by 7.4%. The gross value added or GVA, too, grew by 8.5 % in the second quarter, as against the sharp 18.8% growth in the first quarter. Mining, farming and manufacturing activities saw robust recovery aiding the overall expansion in GDP. Can India sustain the pace of recovery?
