Delhi: 36-year-old property dealer found dead in Chattarpur

New Delhi: On Thursday morning, a property dealer aged 36 was found dead inside a house in the Chattarpur area of South Delhi. The deceased has been identified as Sanjiv Sejwal and was a resident of Lado Sarai, police said.

According to the police, the deceased had sustained a bullet injury on his head. A woman had called the police at around 4:45 am claiming that a man had shot himself. The women also said that Sejwal was lying on the fourth floor of the JMD Estate building, the Indian Express reported.

Harsh Vardhan, Additional DCP (South) said to the IE, when they went to the spot, they found Sejwal lying dead on the floor with a revolver beside him.

The Additional DCP also said that a forensic team was called to examine the awful scene and investigate the death from all angles.

The reason behind the death is unknown and no suicide note was recovered, the senior police official said.

According to the police, Sejwal went to JMD Estate on Wednesday night at around 9 pm to meet his friends. He was partying with three or four of his friends, the police said.

The police have sent his body for autopsy and have informed his family about the mishap. The 36-year-old man had a wife and two children in his family.

In another tragic incident reported on Tuesday, the Delhi Police arrested four people who are allegedly involved in the killing of a 38-year-old man in Delhi’s Govindpuri area.

According to the Police, the deceased has been identified as Rajendra Kumar. The four accused used to play cards with Rajendra.

Police have arrested four people involved in the murder. One of the accused named Shiva was caught from Govindpuri and the rest of them were held on his instance. The rest of the accused have been identified as Ayub, Aizaz, and Narendra.  

According to an officer, the accused had stabbed him to death because of some monetary disputes, reports the TOI.
