CAPITOLA — A number of streets in Capitola shall be closed Sunday evening for the Monte Basis fireworks present.
The highway closures will happen between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Capitola Police Division stated Saturday that the road closures are being carried out to forestall vehicular site visitors within the Capitola Village space.
The wharf entrance at Wharf Highway shall be closed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The next closures shall be in place from 7 to 9 p.m.: Portola Drive at forty seventh Avenue; Opal Cliff Drive at Cliff Drive; Capitola Highway at forty ninth Avenue; forty ninth Avenue at Topaz Avenue; Opal Avenue at Prospect Avenue; Wharf Highway at Lincoln Avenue; Esplanade at Stockton Avenue; Riverview Avenue at Stockton Avenue; Bluegum Avenue at Riverview Avenue; Capitola Avenue at Riverview Drive; Capitola Avenue at Fanmar Manner; Capitola Avenue at Stockton Avenue; San Jose Avenue at Capitola Avenue; Monterey Avenue at Park Place; Monterey Avenue at Fanmar Manner; and Monterey Avenue at Park Avenue.
